Having your own business is great. I get to make my own hours, no boss to nag at me, I do what I want and as long as my customers are happy, they keep coming back. I’ve done so well lately that I decided to upgrade from a home office to a small office in a decent strip mall in town. I looked around for a bit before I found the perfect spot for my business. The only problem was that while the office itself was nice, the electrical wiring was not suitable for the kind of business I run. You see, I do computer repair so I need some heavy-duty power. The place I found needed outlets replaced, surge protectors installed, fluorescent lighting, and some serious electrical troubleshooting in the back office area because the lights were flickering something fierce. It was time to call a Rockville electrician who could handle some commercial electrical work.

Fortunately I’m at home on the Internet, so I decided to search Google for “electrician Rockville MD” and got a fair amount of hits. I did some Google-fu and had the businesses listed by number of positive ratings and one of them took the rest by storm. When we were done, the electrician showed me where I would need some new electrical circuits installed to accommodate new electrical outlets for the workbenches, and then he showed me that I would need a panel upgrade to bring everything up to code for the power load I would need. Twenty minutes later he was able to give me an electrical bid in writing and informed me that all the work was guaranteed for life (I wasn’t sure if he meant mine or the business’) and the Rockville electricians would do a complete site cleanup when they were done with the job.
